Were excited about Spring 2010, with all the bright colours and fantastic prints that the new season brings. We shot the new campaign in a fantastic beachfront property, with the ocean sparkling in the background. The soft romantic feel of the collection is perfectly captured in the soft sunny images, a love affair with fashion and with our star Katrina Bowdens dreamy girlish looks.
Katrina travelled to Sydney to shoot the new campaign and we discovered that the 30 ROCK star has many talents aside from her fun role on the multiaward winning show. As a New York fashion week regular, an ex model and a real fashionista Katrina has her own sense of style. As the designer of Wish its always hugely gratifying to see people enjoying my creations I get excited whenever I see a girl wearing my fashion whether she is a neighbour walking down the street or a model on the pages of a magazine or a TV star. Of course its particularly lovely to shoot a campaign with a star who truly loves our clothes. Katrina immediately figured out the key strength of Wish that every garment is totally adaptable. Katrina is a big fan of the collection and the fun young springwear which she describes as a beachy vibe with a glamorous edge to it.
She went to town in the Wish showroom picking out her favourite garments, adding her own sense of style by layering a variety of items and she is the queen of reinventing an outfit changing it from day to night simply by swapping flats for heels and changing up the accessories. Whenever my travels take me through LA Im sure to catch up with our previous Wish girl Dakota Johnson. Dakotas full of the latest Hollywood buzz and she is excited to be on big screens around the world in the current movie hit Beastly with her girlfriends Vanessa Hudgens and Mary Kate Olsen. We cant wait to see her next big role in Social Network the hotly anticipated movie about Facebook where she stars alongside heartthrob Justin Timberlake. When Dakota came to Sydney she arrived with her muso boyfriend Noah who charmed us with his beautiful lyrics and incredible songs.
